The Terms Governing Your Use of This Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of Legal Contract Review Services ("we," "us," or "our") and the contract review services described on this website. By requesting a review or using this site, you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a contract for review, creating an account, or otherwise using this service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, Confidentiality Policy, and Attorney-Client Disclaimer. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
This service provides attorney-led review of contracts and agreements, delivered as a written risk summary, a marked-up document with tracked edits, or a rewritten set of contract sections, depending on the tier selected. The specific scope of each tier is described on the pricing and cost page.
3. Eligibility
This service is available to individuals who are at least 18 years old and to businesses authorized to enter into binding agreements. Use of this service on behalf of a company represents that you have authority to bind that company to these terms.
4. How an Engagement Begins
An attorney-client relationship begins only once payment is received, a specific attorney is assigned to your matter, and that attorney confirms the engagement. Browsing this website, submitting a contact form, or requesting a quote does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. See the Attorney-Client Disclaimer for full detail on when representation begins.
5. Payment and Pricing
Pricing for each tier is fixed and quoted before work begins, as described on the cost breakdown page. Payment is due at the time you submit your contract for review, unless a different arrangement is confirmed in writing. Per-page pricing for long-form or bulk documents is quoted individually before work begins.
6. Satisfaction and Refund Policy
We want every client to receive a review that is complete, accurate, and delivered on time. The following applies if a review falls short of that standard:
- Before work begins: a full refund is available if you cancel before the assigned attorney has started the review.
- Missed scope: if a delivered review does not cover a section of the contract that falls within the scope of the tier you purchased, we complete the missing portion at no additional charge.
- Late delivery: if a review is delivered later than the turnaround window confirmed at the time of purchase, without prior notice to you, a partial refund proportional to the delay is available on request.
- General dissatisfaction: because legal review is a professional judgment, dissatisfaction with an attorney's legal conclusions alone is not grounds for a refund once a complete, on-time review has been delivered. Concerns of this kind are reviewed individually through our contact form.
Refund requests are made through our contact form within 14 days of delivery.
7. Delivery and Turnaround
Most reviews are delivered within two business days of payment and document submission, as described on the how it works page. Longer or more technical contracts may take additional time, communicated to you before work begins.
8. What This Service Does Not Do
This service reviews existing contracts and, under the Review and Rewrite tier, rewrites specific sections of a contract already in place. This service does not draft an entirely new contract from a blank document, represent you in litigation, or provide ongoing general counsel. Engagements are limited to the specific contract submitted for review unless a separate engagement is agreed to in writing.
9. Ownership of Deliverables
Once payment is received and a review is delivered, the written summary, markup, or rewritten sections belong to you. We retain no ownership claim over your contract or the deliverable produced from it, subject to the retention and confidentiality terms described in our Confidentiality Policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from this service is limited to the amount paid for the specific review giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this service, to the extent permitted by the law of the jurisdiction governing your engagement.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service to any individual for conduct that is abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise inconsistent with these terms. You may discontinue use of this service at any time; fees already paid are handled under the Satisfaction and Refund Policy above.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of the state in which your assigned attorney is licensed to practice, consistent with our attorney assignment model described in Our Standards.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of this service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
14. Contact Us
